Terms and Conditions
1. Booking and Deposit
1.1. All owners must read and agree to these terms and conditions outlined in full. In booking with us, you agree to the terms and conditions.
1.2. Booking Confirmation: To confirm a dog walking appointment, clients must provide the necessary information about their dog(s) and preferred walking times.
1.3. Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of £5 is required to secure your booking. The deposit will be deducted from the total service fee.
1.4. Payment Methods: We accept the following payment methods:
Cash payments.
Bank transfers.
1.5. Deposit Payment Deadline: The deposit must be paid within 24 hours of booking to confirm the appointment. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, the booking may be canceled.
2. Service Fees
2.1. Total Cost: The total cost of the service will be confirmed at the time of booking. The remaining balance, after the deposit, is due on the day of the service.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling
3.1. Client Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Deposits are non-refundable, but we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your service if given 24 hours' notice is given.
3.2. Provider Cancellation: In the unlikely event that we need to cancel, we will provide a full refund of the deposit and make arrangements to reschedule at no additional cost.
3.3. Adjustment: We will agree on a time or slot when the dog walk will occur. If an unforeseen circumstance arises, the time may be adjusted but we will update you where possible.
4. Service Delivery
4.1. Service Duration: The standard walking duration is 30-60 minutes. If you require a longer walk or additional services, please inform us in advance. We will apply personal judgement and cut a walk short if necessary due to extreme weather conditions (such as extreme heat, thunder storms and heavy snow) for the safety of the dogs and ourselves. Wherever possible we will communicate with you first.
4.2. Dog Health and Behavior: Clients must provide accurate information about their dog’s health and behavior. We reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the dog poses a risk to itself, others, or our staff.Please continue to keep us updated on any changes.
4.3. Vaccinations: All dogs much be fully vaccinated, including kennel cough and on a regular flea and worm control regime.
4.4 Identification: All dogs must be microchipped and have a suitable identity tag on either their collar or their harness.
4.5. Alternative Contact: You must provide us with an alternative contact (name and contact number). This person must be someone you trust to make a decision relating to your dog in the event you cannot be reached. We will only contact your alternative contact if you cannot be reached.
4.6. Emergency Situations: If you or your alternative contact is not available, we reserve the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and to make a decision which is in the best interests of your dog.
4.7: Updates: Please inform us as soon as practicable of any changes to your contact details, alternative contact details, veterinary surgeon, and dog needs.
4.8. Veterinary Costs: You agree that you are solely responsible for the cost of any necessary veterinary treatments whilst your dog is in our care.
4.9. Dogs Return: We will make every effort to return your dog clean and dry however, if this is not possible we will towel dry your dog to the best of our abilities.
5. Liability and Insurance
5.1. Insurance Coverage: We carry insurance coverage for dog walking services.
5.2. Liability: We will care for your dog as if they are our own. However, we cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death of your dog whilst in our care.
6. Key Handling and Security
6.1. Responsibility for Security: We take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and security of your property while our services are being provided. However, once keys or access codes are provided to us, we are not liable for any security breaches or unauthorized access that may occur if others have access to the property.
6.2. Key Handling: Keys or access codes provided to us will be handled with the utmost care and kept secure. However, we cannot guarantee against loss or theft. Any keys provided to us must not be identifiable to the property in any way. If keys or access codes are lost or stolen while in our possession, we will notify you immediately and take reasonable steps to address the situation.
6.3. Liability Limitation: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pro Pet Care will not be held liable for any damages, losses, or security breaches resulting from the use of keys or access codes provided by you.
7. Data Protection
7.1 Personal information provided will be used solely for the purpose of providing the agreed-upon services and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
8. Amendments
8.1 We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated to clients.
